Break free from anxiety

Counselling to help you rediscover joy in life.

You wrestle with worry and regret

Depressive thoughts weigh you down but you are ready to be at peace in the present.

Insecurities are eroding your confidence

Negative self talk can be overwhelming. You are pulling back from activities and relationships as you try to avoid those anxious feelings - but you want to reconnect with what matters to you.

Your child is struggling — and you’re not sure what to do

Maybe they’re anxious, or withdrawn, or having big feelings that feel bigger than the situation. You love them. You just need someone to help them feel safe enough to work through it.

Your body has been trying to tell you something

The tension that never releases, the exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, the symptoms that don’t have a clear medical cause. You sense that something emotional is underneath — and you’re ready to explore it.

You’re a teen or young adult navigating more than anyone around you seems to realize

The pressure, the uncertainty, the feelings that come fast and feel huge. You need somewhere honest and safe to put it all down.

You’re carrying grief that doesn’t seem to be getting lighter

A loss, a relationship, a dream that didn’t happen, or something harder to name. And you’re tired of managing it alone or being told you should be over it by now.

Hi, I’m Sara.

Whatever brought you here, I’m glad you came. I’m a counsellor in Langley, BC — and I feel genuinely honored every time someone trusts me with their story. "In all my years of sitting with people, I have yet to meet someone I didn't like — once they felt safe enough to let me see them." Not the version they bring to work, or to family dinners, or to the parts of their life where they feel watched and measured. The real one. The one underneath. That person — every single time — has been someone worth knowing.

When you meet with me you’ll find gentle support and guidance. In my mental health journey, I’m grateful for the counselors who accepted me as I was in the moment and supported my growth. I want to support others in the same meaningful way.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. As I hear your story, I get a sense of how therapy can support you. I regularly invite your feedback, so we move in the most helpful direction. Some anxiety is healthy. What I want for you is not to get rid of it altogether but to lessen it to a healthier amount so you can rediscover joy in life!

I offer a free consultation so we can start to get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit. If you want to explore partnering with me in your mental health journey, reach out! I look forward to hearing from you.

If you've found your way here, something in you is probably ready — even if another part of you is still uncertain. Maybe you're tired of carrying something alone. Maybe your relationships feel strained in ways you can't quite explain. Maybe anxiety has become the background noise of your life, and you've started to wonder if it's just who you are now.
It isn't. And you don't have to keep going like this.
My name is Sara, and I'm a counsellor based in Langley, BC. I work with adults, parents, and teens who are ready to explore what's happening beneath the surface — gently, at whatever pace feels safe, without judgment.

“I believe that every person’s story matters — and that change happens most naturally when we feel safe enough to explore it.”

I draw on approaches that honour both the mind and the body — because in my experience, healing rarely happens in just one place. We might explore what anxiety feels like in your nervous system. We might trace where an old pattern first took root. We might slow down and simply notice what's happening inside you in this moment — something most of us rarely do.
I'm deeply influenced by the work of Bessel van der Kolk, Gabor Maté, Kristin Neff, and Gordon Neufeld — thinkers who understand that our bodies hold our stories, that our relationships shape us more than we know, and that compassion — real, unhurried compassion — is where change begins.

I offer both in person and online options. My comfortable office is in  the heart of Langley City.
50 minute sessions are $130 (+GST).

I understand that sometimes pursuing support is out of reach due to financial limitations. I want to help you by offering a sliding scale. Let's collaborate to make sure you get the support you need.
I am person centered counsellor which means that in session you can expect to be heard, accepted, and understood. It is my desire that in experiencing the safety of this connection you will have the freedom to explore your own thoughts, process your experiences, grow in self awareness, and make decisions for future change.

I believe developing self compassion is foundational to inner healing. You can expect a gentle focus of tuning into your inner experience, being aware of your personal judgments, and practice extending kindness to yourself.

My client recently shared, "when I'm here I feel present". This in the moment connection to our experience is what helps us to become more alive. I invite my clients to join me in practicing mindfulness exercises that grow our connection to our present moment experiences.
I will provide a link to my online booking platform so you can book at your convenience!

Grief Counselling in Langley, BC

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. So why does no one teach us how to move through it? Most of us were never given the tools to grieve. We were taught to stay strong, keep busy, and wait for time to do the work. But time alone doesn’t heal grief — what you do within that time does.
